Bank Healthcare Assistant - Wards
Bank Healthcare Assistant | Cambridge | Shift Cover across Wards | Days/Weekends Required
This role offers flexible shift cover on an "as and when required" basis. You’ll support staffing during busy periods, annual leave, sickness absence, and peak times of the year to provide a high-quality healthcare experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work under supervision of qualified nursing staff to deliver patient care in a clean, safe, and efficient manner
- Assisting in patient support and monitoring, including:
- Observations (taking ECGs, blood/BP measurements—desirable*)
- Reporting significant changes in patient condition promptly
- Being available for long shift cover, including weekdays and weekends (Monday–Sunday)

Who We’re Looking For
- Previous HCA experience in a hospital/treatment environment (Theatre/minor operations experience is a plus!)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills + a teamwork mindset
- Enthusiasm, professionalism, and adaptability for day/night shifts
- NVQ Health & Social Care (Level 2/3 – optional but welcomed)
- Willingness to cover emergency and sick shifts
