Bank Host and Catering Assistant

Host and Catering Assistant | Customer Service | Bank Work – Flexi Shifts

📍 Cambridge | 🚗 Free on-site parking

Spire Healthcare are looking for an enthusiastic Host and Catering Assistant to join their bank team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service and catering skills within a professional private hospital environment.


About the Role

The ideal candidate will support our Catering team in delivering exceptional service to patients while adhering to high standards of care, hygiene, and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Catering team in serving patients on wards, including:
    • Presenting menu options and ensuring regular refreshments
    • Maintaining a tidy and welcoming dining environment
  • Support Chefs with food preparation tasks and stock rotation in restaurant areas
  • Provide friendly and approachable customer service to guests and patients
  • Uphold quality assurance and strict confidentiality protocols
  • Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety regulations

Requirements

You’ll meet these essential criteria:

  • Experience in a catering environment – This is mandatory
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene (or willingness to complete Level 2 Food Hygiene training, which we’ll provide in-house)
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised with strong initiative
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring friendly yet professional interactions

Work Details

  • Shifts available: Variable from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Sunday
