Spire Fylde Coast Hospital offers an exciting opportunity for experienced Physiotherapists to join our friendly and supportive team on a bank contract.
About the Role
We are looking for inpatient and outpatient physiotherapists, with experience treating orthopaedic patients and musculoskeletal disorders. This role is ideal for those who:
- Have experience in orthopaedic care in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- Can deliver high-quality support to patients preparing for discharge (inpatient) or need skilled rehabilitation (outpatient).
- Work well within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
Inpatient Responsibilities
- Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning for post-operative patients.
- Provide clinical autonomy, ensuring high standards of care for smooth patient transitions.
- Collaborate within the inpatient physiotherapy team to support comprehensive recovery.

Outpatient Responsibilities
- Skilled assessment, diagnosis, and tailored treatment for post-operative and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Develop individualised, goal-oriented treatment plans.
- Deliver hands-on therapy, including:
- Manual therapy
- Exercise prescription
- Electrotherapy (where applicable)
- Educate patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely patient records.
- Ensure strict adherence to professional standards, guidelines, and health & safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers, and team members.
Requirements
- Degree: BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
- Registration: HCPC-registered, with no restrictions or conditions on registration.
- Clinical experience: Postgraduate level in a clinical setting (NHS or private hospital).
- Specialist orthopaedic and musculoskeletal experience in an outpatient role.
- Proficiency in treating a broad range of musculoskeletal disorders.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Availability: Weekday (and potential weekend) work, including day and evening shifts to cover outpatient therapy appointments.
