Exciting Opportunity at Oaklands College
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands College for a Bank Lecturer in Hair and/or Beauty Therapy to provide high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across our Hair and Beauty curriculum.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and industry-focused Bank Lecturer in Hair and/or Beauty Therapy to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering outstanding teaching and supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and career aspirations. In this position, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons in Hair and/or Beauty Therapy.
- Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Support students to develop the professional skills, behaviours, and technical competencies required by industry.
You will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
- Promoting high levels of student achievement, attendance, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have recent industry experience in Hairdressing and/or Beauty Therapy, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to engage and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities. You will hold a relevant vocational qualification and ideally have experience of teaching, training, or assessing learners within Further Education or industry settings. A commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience and maintaining current industry knowledge is essential.
