Job Openings for Bank Logistics Operatives (Driver)
We are advertising for several Bank Logistics Operative (Driver) vacancies. As a member of the bank, you get to choose which shifts and in what localities across our Leicestershire sites you apply for when we release our shifts on a weekly basis.
Role Overview
The post will involve working within a team to provide a high-quality driver courier/porter service which offers a timely, responsive, and proactive service for the movement of patients, internal mail, furniture, materials, and equipment within the site. Applicants must hold a current Full UK Driving Licence.
About the Bank
The term 'Bank' refers to our pool of bank employees who are our temporary staffing solution. They cover annual leave and sickness across our sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Receipt and Distribution of Healthcare-related products
- Transportation of linen cages, waste bins/carts in and around hospital environments
- Driving of trust vehicles
- Patient moves (reception to department or department to department)
- Domestic and Reception cover
- Conveyance and movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley, bed, etc., including assisting clinical staff to reduce risk
- Movement of deceased persons complying with Trust Policies and Procedures
- To ensure all waste is collected, transported, and disposed of in accordance with Trust Policies and procedures and current legislation

Additional Information
- We are recruiting across various sites, and some roles will be mobile, therefore may not be suitable for public transport. However, if you live within Leicester, one of the sites may be within your community.
- We will consider requests to work alternative hours or varied working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.
- For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy).
- All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.
- For all jobs, the cost of any DBS disclosure required will be met by the individual. This will be deducted from salary once started.
