Bank Lymphoedema Therapist
Bank Lymphoedema Therapist
Bank Shifts – Ad hoc Covering Location: Cromwell Hospital, 1A Lexham Gardens, W8 5JJ, London Salary: Competitive
Role Overview
Are you a skilled Lymphoedema Therapist able to autonomously deliver all aspects of lymphoedema management to adult patients (predominantly outpatients, some inpatients)?
Much of the role involves delivering:
- **Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) / Skin-Light Therapy (SLD)
- Compression therapy (including multi-component bandaging, stockings, and hosiery)
- Patient education on skincare and exercise
You’ll primarily manage secondary lymphoedema cases but may also accept primary lymphoedema referrals. The choice of compression garments and stockings will be your clinical decision.
As a clinician at Bupa, patient care is your priority. Without shareholders, Bupa reinvests profits into delivering superior patient outcomes, offering advanced technology and extra time to make a real difference.
We trust your professional judgement while actively supporting your professional growth at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Autonomous clinical decision-making—deliver personalised treatment plans using reflective practice and clinical reasoning.
- Consent and education—secure ongoing informed consent and educate patients for self-management.
- Multi-disciplinary collaboration—coordinate with MDTs (e.g., doctors, dietitians, physiotherapists) to ensure holistic care.
- Liaison with external services to ensure long-term patient management.
- Accurate record-keeping—document all sessions, including missed appointments or unmet needs.
- Clinical risk management—mitigate risk within your caseload and communicate escalations effectively.
- Service improvement—support development of lymphoedema provision, including new referrals and service tools.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
