Bank Medical Secretary Location: Yorkshire Clinic, Bingley
Hours: Flexible, zero-hour contract
Your Role
At Ramsay Health Care UK, we know our people are our most important asset. Join our busy team of medical secretaries and develop a rewarding career supporting consultants by ensuring fast, precise typing and record creation. This effort is vital for smooth-running patient management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Multitasking across various secretarial duties
- Managing issues effectively, prioritising tasks, and demonstrating good judgement
- Performing accurate audio typing
- Supporting administrative workflows
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Maths/English at GCSE level or equivalent
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with multitasking and adherence to strict deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Proven organisational and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Ability to work independently (self-motivated)
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in audio typing
- Knowledge or experience with medical terminology

Location: The Yorkshire Clinic
Nestled within three acres of woodland on the grounds of Cottingley Hall (near Bingley), our hospital has been operational since 1982 with 57 bedrooms, including a single twin-bedded suite. All rooms feature en-suite facilities.
- Technological excellence: We boast four fully-equipped theatres (with ultra-clean air technology) ideal for orthopaedic procedures, such as:
- Arthroscopy
- Hip and knee replacement
- Catheter surgery
- Shoulder muscle repair
We also specialise in minor local anaesthetic procedures alongside other treatments including:
- Knee cartilage surgery
- Knee arthroscopy
- Knee ligament surgery
- Cataract surgery
What is a Bank Contract?
This role operates on a flexible employment basis where you are not commited to fixed hours. Instead, you work ad-hoc shifts based on availability, contributing during peak demand or staff shortages.
