Bank Nursing Role – Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

About the Role
A bank nurse opportunity at Priory Hospital Barnt Green, working across our mentally health wards in a new, modern hospital with luxurious facilities, including garden spaces, easy access to nature, and excellent transport links.
This is a non-clinical leadership role for a Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, an active NMC registration, and a completed preceptorship programme.
- Must have knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests, and professional nursing practices
- Not suitable for newly qualified or preceptorship-only nurses
Responsibilities
Your primary focus:
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing IT-based care plans in collaboration with patients and their families/carers
- Staying current on progressive medical advancements in psychiatric practice
- Ensuring a multidisciplinary approach and ensuring interventions are based on evidence
- Prioritising and delegating duties as required, including occasional leadership as Nurse in Charge
- Maintaining accurate patient charts and documentation
- Providing a challenging but supportive nursing environment that supports care and recovery

You will work across all inpatient and outpatient wards, where patient care lies at the heart of everything we do.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Post-registration experience: 6-12 months minimum
- Active NMC registration
- Completed preceptorship programme
- Clinical and administrative experience as registered nurse
- Demonstrated sound decision-making, collaboration, and resilience
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions & diagnostic processes
- Excellent Time management, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
