Mental Health Support Worker – Cherrybrook Care Home (Bradford)

Cherrybrook Care Home is a large, purpose-built service in Bradford, specialising in providing specialist care across two units for 120 residents with complex mental health needs, dementia, and challenging behaviours. Our environment delivers high-quality, clinically led care through a structured and supportive framework, combining nursing expertise with a strong focus on dignity, stability, and person-centred support.

Contract Details

  • Salary: £12.71 per hour
  • Contract type: Bank & permanent available
  • Shifts: Day and night
  • Perks:

    • 5.6 weeks annual leave (full-time basis)

Role Overview

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll contribute to a specialist care environment by providing high-calibre, person-centred support for individuals with complex mental health conditions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and valued
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing, independence, and stability
  • Assisting daily routines and personal care, if required
  • Engaging residents in meaningful activities and emotional support
  • Safely and consistently following support plans
  • Building positive relationships with residents
  • Recognising changes in behaviour or mental wellbeing and responding effectively

A key part of your role is maintaining a calm, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all.
