Cherrybrook Care Home is a large, purpose-designed service in Bradford, providing specialist care across two units for 120 residents with complex mental health needs, dementia, and challenging behaviours. The home delivers high-quality, clinically led care within a structured and supportive environment, combining specialist nursing expertise with a strong focus on dignity, stability, and person-centred support.
Mental Health Support Worker Contract
- Pay: £12.71 per hour
- Contract Type: Bank contracts available
- Shifts: Day shift and night shift available
- Benefits: Paid DBS, pension, and uniform provided
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with complex mental health needs within a structured and specialist care environment. You will play an important role in helping individuals feel safe, supported, and valued while promoting emotional wellbeing, independence, and stability.

Working closely with the wider care team, you will support individuals with daily routines, personal care where required, meaningful engagement, and emotional wellbeing while ensuring support plans are followed safely and consistently. You will build positive relationships with residents, recognise changes in behaviour or mental wellbeing, and respond appropriately to help maintain a calm, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
What We Are Looking For

- Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health needs is beneficial but not essential.
- A calm, patient, and compassionate approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to respond positively within challenging or complex situations.
