Nurse – Cartref Cleddau, Pembrokeshire (Bank Contract)

Salary: £22.55 per hour Working Hours: Bank Contract – As/When

About the Service

Cartref Cleddau is a 24-bed specialist facility for adults with long-term functional mental health issues and complex physical needs in beautiful Pembrokeshire, South West Wales.

About the Role – Nurse

You will work alongside a team dedicated to making a real difference to the lives of those we support. Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the highest standards of care, assessing residents’ needs and developing services to enhance their quality of life.
  • Championing independence and personal choice, developing, reviewing, and updating care plans for physical, social, and psychological needs.
  • Managing medicines administration in accordance with company policies and current legislation.
  • Representing Shawcare professionally to visitors and external stakeholders.
  • Upholding legal, regulatory, and best practice standards, identifying and resolving risks proactively.
  • Supporting, guiding, teaching, and mentoring others in line with the NMC Code.

Preferred Skills & Experience

While not mandatory, we would value:

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to analyse problems and propose improvements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building with all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using IT and care management systems.
  • Respect and sensitivity to diverse needs, views, and values.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience in mental health nursing care.
  • Familiarity with quality and clinical governance programmes.
