About the Role
Join our caring, welcoming, and supportive team at Monkey Puzzle Lightwater, where a loving family atmosphere drives our commitment to every child’s happiness and growth. We’re seeking a Bank Nursery Assistant to help deliver outstanding childcare while fostering a positive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires:
- Building strong teamwork as part of our warm, family-friendly nursery culture
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through a confident understanding of safeguarding practices
- Implementing the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework with expertise in child development
- Supporting the entire nursery team to help deliver high-quality childcare
- Communicating effectively with both adults and children, maintaining clear, respectful dialogue
- Reporting concerns promptly to senior staff or relevant services
- Collaborating with parents and external partners to encourage the children’s thriving environments
- Maintaining a positive attitude toward children, parents, colleagues, and visitors to uphold our happy nursery culture
- Bringing creativity and inspiration, nurturing a fun, engaging learning environment

Requirements
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
- Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Paediatric First Aid certification
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding procedures (training can be provided)
