Contract & Compensation

  • Contract Type: Bank
  • Pay: Competitive bank hourly rate (varies by shift experience).
  • Weekly Hours: 6am–8pm (flexible shifts within operating hours).

Core Responsibilities

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering world-class administrative and customer service support to enhance the patient experience.
  • Acting as a single point of contact for all stakeholders, ensuring seamless transitions in care.
  • Handling high-volume administrative tasks with precision and empathy, such as scheduling, documentation, and liaison with clinical teams.
  • Providing pre-arrival assistance (e.g., pre-op triaging) and post-discharge follow-up to support patient continuity.
  • Upholding HCA’s values—demonstrating kindness, integrity, and dignity in all interactions.
  • Collaborating with consultants and external providers to optimise pathways, reducing administrative bottlenecks.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare protocols.

Requirements

We welcome applications from candidates who bring the following strengths:

  • Administrative or customer-facing experience (priority given to those with retail or hospitality backgrounds).
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills—ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, including patients, visitors, and clinicians.
  • Exceptional customer care abilities, with a focus on compassionate, seamless service.
  • Resilience under pressure—must prioritise tasks effectively whilst remaining calm, professional, and empathetic during high-demand periods.
  • Flexibility to work outdoors [outstanding onsite experience] and adapt to a fast-paced, shift-based schedule.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology or healthcare environments (though no prior clinical experience is mandatory).
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., proficiency with scheduling/staffing software).
