Bank EP Physiologist | Cardiology | St Anthony's Hospital | Private Hospital
Flexible Working | Sutton
We are currently seeking a forward thinking, dynamic, and motivated EP Physiologist to join our team at Spire St Anthony's on a flexible working basis.
Spire St Anthony's Hospital, founded in 1904, delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London.
Duties and responsibilities
- Independently perform and interpret non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations.
- Assist in and undertake complex electrophysiological studies (EPS).
- Support catheter ablation procedures.
- Operate and troubleshoot EP recording and mapping systems (e.g., CARTO, BOSTON, Medtronic).
- Perform intracardiac signal acquisition and interpretation during procedures.
- Support implantation, testing, and follow-up of, Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs), Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT) devices.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and recognise clinical deterioration.
- Participate in emergency arrhythmia management and resuscitation when required.
Who we're looking for
- BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Experience working within a cardiac catheterisation laboratory or cardiac physiology department.
- Experience supporting electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and arrhythmia mechanisms.
- Experience using EP recording and mapping systems.
- Experience with complex ablation procedures.
