Bank Physiotherapy Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) – Internal Applicants

Position

Opportunities have arisen for Bank Physiotherapy Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) Band 3 & 4 within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Please also note you will only be considered for this post if you are in the same role in your substantive post.

You will be appointed on the bank on the same band as your current substantive post if you are in a Physiotherapy HCSW role.


What You Will Do

  • Work as part of the multidisciplinary and physiotherapy teams carrying out a range of:
    • Activities
    • Clinical care tasks
    • Other duties as delegated by and in support of a registered Physiotherapist

  • Receive support and supervision from the registered Physiotherapist

In partnership with the registered Physiotherapist, the HCSW will:

  • Review patient documentation

  • Perform the necessary aspects of clinical and non-clinical duties within their scope of clinical practice

  • Ensure delivery of care to a high standard

  • Record their activity in line with local and national standards of documentation

  • Report progress and activity back to the registered Physiotherapist

  • Depending on the activity and team, this work will take place within a:

    • Hospital setting
    • Clinic setting
    • Community setting

  • One reference only, which must be from your current line manager from your substantive post within NHS Ayrshire & Arran

Selection & Process:

  • Selection will be made without an interview, subject to a satisfactory reference.
  • After appointment, you will be asked to complete a skills checklist. This will be reviewed to determine the clinical settings in which you will be offered work.

Hours:

  • This is a bank post to work as and when required.
