Bank Physiotherapy Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) – Retire/Terminate & Return

Position

Opportunities have arisen for Bank Physiotherapy Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) Band 3 & 4 within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Conditions: You will only be considered for this post if you are currently in a Physiotherapy role within NHS Ayrshire & Arran and are leaving the Physiotherapy Department. You will be appointed on the bank at the same band as your current substantive post if you are a Physiotherapy HCSW.

Apply within 1 month prior to your termination date. If you have already ended your role, applications will only be considered if your termination date fell within the last month of applying.


What You Will Do

  • Work as part of the multidisciplinary and physiotherapy teams to carry out:
    • Clinical care tasks delegated by a registered physiotherapist
    • Duties under supervision of a registered physiotherapist
  • In partnership with the registered physiotherapist, perform and review:
    • Patient documentation
    • Clinical and non-clinical duties within defined scope of practice
  • Ensure standardised, high-quality care and maintain accurate records aligned with local/national documentation standards
  • Record progress and activities for handover to the registered physiotherapist
  • Operate in:
    • Hospital settings
    • Clinic environments
    • Community-based locations
