Job Description
Bank Mammographer | Imaging Department | Spire Parkway Hospital | Solihull, Birmingham | Private Hospital | Flexible working hours
Spire Parkway Hospital has an exciting opportunity to join the staffing bank as a Bank Mammographer in the Imaging department. Working within our busy and well-equipped Imaging Department, you will provide high-quality mammography services and exceptional patient care, ensuring a safe, supportive and positive experience for every patient.
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands offers a comprehensive range of private hospital services. Our hospital is rated Good by the CQC for all parts of the inspection except for Patient Care, which is rated Outstanding. The report states, “Staff treated patients with compassion and kindness, respected their privacy and dignity, took account of their individual needs, and helped them understand their conditions. They provided emotional support to patients, families and carers.”
Our dedicated hospital team are passionate about excellent patient care and we offer a range of specialist treatments to patients across Birmingham, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. This includes diagnostic services, rehabilitation, cutting-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, women’s health and cancer care. We have 51 bedrooms and five operating theatres.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist mammography examinations to a high clinical standard.
- Produce high-quality mammographic images to support accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain excellent patient care and communication throughout the patient journey.
- Work collaboratively with radiographers, radiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and record keeping.
- Adhere to departmental policies, professional standards and radiation safety regulations.
Who We're Looking For
- HCPC registered Radiographer.
- UK Mammography Accreditation qualification.
- Previous experience working in mammography.
- Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience within the independent healthcare sector is desirable but not essential.
