Bank Receptionist | Reception | Private Hospital
About the Role
Spire St Anthony's Hospital is looking for an experienced Bank Receptionist/Administrator to work on a flexible basis, helping cover sickness, annual leave and busy periods.
Since 1904, Spire St Anthony’s Hospital has delivered high-quality healthcare in Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. Following a £27m development investment, we continue to provide exceptional patient care through our skilled and dedicated team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcoming and registering patients, including accurate collection of credit card details and patient information
- Directing patients, consultants, and hospital teams in a warm, professional, and caring manner to ensure confidence
- Compliance with NHS forms and processes
- Processing in-patient and out-patient charges
- Cash handling in strict adherence to Handling Cash Policy
- Accurate discharge of patients via the computer system
- Managing the hospital switchboard efficiently, ensuring all calls/enquiries are handled in a timely manner
- Clerical duties, including:
- Checking bed status reports
- Ordering and distributing newspapers and visitor badges
- Booking taxis

Who We’re Looking For
- A personable individual who can work independently or as part of a team
- Strong basic PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent customer service skills
- High degree of accuracy in administrative tasks
- ** Outstanding communication skills** at all levels
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Familiarity with information management systems
- Switchboard experience (desirable)
