Job Advert Bank Receptionist
Location: Woodlands Hospital, Kettering
Hours: Flexible, zero-hour contract.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our Administration team on a Bank contract. You will work with delivering exceptional standards of administration and customer service whilst being the front face of the hospital. This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, Consultants, and all hospital departments.
We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative, the ability to work within a team, and adaptability.
You must be computer literate – experience with Word and Outlook being essential.
What You Will Bring
- Experience in a front-facing or customer service role
- Maths/English to GCSE level or equivalent
- Proven organisational and communication skills at all levels, both written and oral
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including databases
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and consultants on a day-to-day basis applying appropriate methods and interpersonal skills
- Positive, willing attitude
- Self-motivated and possess strong organisational, interpersonal, and above all, customer service skills

A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance.
Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.
