Staff Nurse | Surgical Ward | Bank / Flexible Working Shifts | Spire South Bank Hospital

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Staffing Bank at Spire South Bank Hospital, ideal for candidates seeking a balanced work/life flexibility and ad-hoc, variable shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support in assessing patients’ health and well-being across differing caseloads
  • Assist in delivering individualised care aligned with patients' health and wellbeing goals
  • Handle and communicate complex, sensitive, or contentious patient information
  • Continuously develop knowledge, skills, and mentor others for improvement
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in health, safety, and security protocols
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of healthcare and support services

Requirements

  • NMC-registered professional nurse (with no restrictions/conditions on your PIN)
  • At least one year of experience postoperatively (direct qualification experience)
  • Must have worked in surgical or acute hospital environments
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in teams with minimal supervision
  • Fluency in acute care settings and performance of a wide range of clinical duties
  • Established competence across nursing skills, knowledge, and professional frameworks
  • An essential preference or proven experience in surgical wards or related specialties

Contract and Working Environment

  • Works: 24/7 ward operations (both day shifts and night shifts available)
  • Contract Type: Bank / Flexible-Ad-hoc Shifts
