Position: Bank Registered Nurse
Band: 5 - £34,544 - £43,039 pro rata
Additional Allowance: £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata
Hours: As Required
About the Role
We seek to recruit Registered Nurses to join our BANK nursing teams in our Hospitals and Community in Lewis and Harris. Applicants must be NMC registered and can be from General Nursing or Mental Health with the main location being Western Isles Hospital. These bank posts offer successful candidates the opportunity for continuing professional development in diverse and varied settings in both community and hospital settings and the ability to work independently is desirable but not essential for both areas.
Key Responsibilities
- The provision of professional nursing care, to meet the individual needs of the patient population and be accountable for the delivery of such care.
- The assessment of care needs.
- The development, implementation and evaluation of programs of care.
- The facilitation and support of staff development in the hospital and community areas.

Essential Experience:
- Experience of nursing patients in an acute and/or community environment.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
