Registered Nurse (BANK – Nights) – Dementia/Nursing Home
Location: Abundant Grace, Seaford Hours: Bank hours (Nights) Reporting To: Home Manager
South Coast Nursing Homes, a family-owned provider of care across East and West Sussex, operates 9 registered nursing homes with 414 beds. We recently opened The Poets, a brand-new home in Central Worthing, maintaining the highest resident care and comfort standards, 24 hours a day and night.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical team on a BANK basis at Abundant Grace, Seaford, a Dementia/Nursing home. You’ll work under the guidance of the Home Manager, performing proactive, reactive, and planned clinical duties within a dynamic, professional environment.
As part of this hands-on role, you’ll support the whole care team, ensuring exemplary resident care, strong communication, and safe, high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safeguarding the health, safety, and welfare of all residents.
- Champion resident choice and autonomy, embedding dignity and respect in daily interactions.
- Support and manage the care team when on duty:
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional care and maintain clear communication.
- Maintain morale and effective teamwork, supporting professional development.
- Foster trusting relationships with families, advocates, and Next of Kin (NOK), communicating any changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
- Ensure meticulous, time-sensitive recording:
- Develop and update individualised care plans as resident needs evolve.
- Document events, conversations, and formal arrangements with external agencies.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse status in the UK.
- A degree or higher qualification in Nursing.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks for optimal outcomes.
- Strong reporting skills (verbal and non-verbal).
- Relevant clinical experience in:
- Geriatric care
- Frailty care
- End of life care
- Dementia care

- Staff interactions
- Resident relationships
