Bank Registered Nurse- Outpatient
Registered Nurse | Outpatient | Bank – Flexible Working
Location: Dunedin, Reading
Spire Dunedin Hospital has an exciting opportunity to join the staffing bank as a Registered Nurse in the outpatient department. The successful applicant will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in clinic settings to facilitate smooth and efficient outpatient clinics.
Spire Dunedin Hospital has served the Reading community for over 100 years as a first-class medical facility. Based in the heart of Reading, the hospital features:
- Two theatres
- Sixteen inpatient beds
- Three recovery bays
- Oncology services
- An Endoscopy Suite
Duties and Responsibilities
- Run nurse-led dressing and phlebotomy clinics, and assist in pre-operative investigations
- Carry out any other duties delegated by the OPD Manager or team leader for:
- Ensuring proper and efficient patient care
- Smooth-running of the department
- Chaperone and assist consultants during:
- Examination of patients
- Minor surgical procedures
- Arranging investigations requested by consultants
- Complete outpatient documentation to a high standard
- Deliver individualized nursing care and procedures to the highest standards, complying with hospital policies at all times
- Ensure patients receive relevant and accessible written information regarding procedures or treatments

Who We’re Looking For
- Current NMC registration with no practice restrictions
- Competence across a range of nursing skills
- Experience of working in teams with minimal supervision
Bonus if you have:
- Experience working in outpatient or surgical environments
- Training in ECG and phlebotomy
