About South Coast Nursing Homes
South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family-owned and managed care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex with 411 beds. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours a day (day and night), for both long- and short-term stays.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Home Manager, this clinical team role involves carrying out planned, proactive, and reactive clinical duties.
Our team is committed to providing professional, respectful, and quality care within a safe home environment. This is a hands-on role, and candidates must demonstrate the right experience, relevant qualifications, and a genuine commitment to delivering a first-class service to all our residents.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of patient care, ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all residents.
- Champion patient choice and autonomy, fostering dignified and respectful approaches in all interactions with residents and colleagues.
- Support and assist in managing the whole care team when on duty, collaborating with colleagues to deliver examplary resident care and seamless communication.
- Build strong working relationships with families, advocates, and next-of-kin (NOK), keeping them informed about all changes in the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
- Ensure all documentation is completed comprehensively, concisely, and in a timely manner, including:
- Developing, reviewing, and amending individualised care plans in response to evolving resident needs.
- Administering medication in line with legal, professional, and company policies (including ordering, storing, and managing safely).
- Prioritise tasks to achieve the most satisfactory outcomes.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential
- Proven nursing experience.
- Nursing degree or equivalent.
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with an active PIN.
Desirable
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal).
- Team management experience.
- Clinical experience in:
- Geriatric care
- Frailty care
- End-of-life care
- Dementia care
