Residential Youth Support Worker – A Career Like No Other

Location: Nottingham City

Hourly Rate: £13.45 - £13.77 + £46.01 Per Sleep In

Shift Pattern: Zero Hours Contract

What Does the Role Involve?

As a Residential Support Worker, You’ll Provide Stability, Guidance, And Mentorship To Young People Who Have Experienced Trauma. Your Work Will Be Challenging, Unpredictable, And Deeply Rewarding. Every Day Will Be Different, And Your Job Will Include

  • Supporting and caring for young people – helping with daily routines, activities, and emotional well-being.
  • Managing challenging situations – using your resilience and empathy to de-escalate conflicts.
  • Encouraging personal growth – supporting young people to develop independence, education, and life skills.
  • Be a trusted role model – showing resilience, patience, and empathy in every interaction.
  • Creating a nurturing environment – helping to build a safe and stable home.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong, compassionate personality – you stay calm under pressure and can handle difficult situations.
  • Emotional resilience – this role isn’t always easy, but the rewards are incredible.
