Bank Paediatric Nurse | Surgical | Outpatients | Bank | Spire Shawfair Park Hospital, Edinburgh
Spire Shawfair Park Hospital is recruiting for a Bank Paediatric Nurse to help with our paediatric day case clinic on the 1st weekend of each month. You will be looking after a case load of patients from their arrival at the hospital through to discharge.
Duties and responsibilities
- Delivering excellent pre and post-surgical care to paediatric patients
- Assisting in clinics, minor operations and recovery
- Assist in the delivery of family centred care to meet the health and wellbeing needs of patients.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Promotes best Practise in Health and Safety, security, and safeguarding the welfare of children.

Who we're looking for
- Be NMC registered Nurse with a Children’s qualification - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
- Previous experience within a surgical setting would be advantageous
- Paediatric CCU experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Recovery experience would be ideal, however training can be given
- Flexibility is essential for this opportunity
