Position: Bank Specialist Physiotherapist- Oncology
Location: The Christie Private Care, Manchester
Contract type: Bank shifts- variable
Pay:
Bank hourly rate between £27.77ph – £42.77 dependent upon shift.
Rates inclusive of WTR include indicative additional amount separately payable on claiming accrued annual leave. WTR is calculated on the average hourly pay rate over the preceding 52 weeks and may therefore differ from the amount included in the above WTR rates
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join our specialist oncology AHP Bank team at The Christie Private Care. As a bank physiotherapist, you will be part of a close-knit team consisting of a physiotherapy lead, advanced physiotherapists, complementary therapists, an advanced dietitian and dietetic lead.

Day to day you will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering a tailored oncology physiotherapy service to private patients in our care. The role is primarily based in an in-patient setting, with the occasional requirement to see patients in an out-patient or day-case setting.
As part of the role, you will support the physiotherapy lead and senior clinicians with the development of service initiatives and contribute to the department’s clinical governance. You will be responsible for maintaining your own personal development and ensuring up to date knowledge of best practice and guidelines. You will take responsibility for your own training and ensure that mandatory training is always compliant.

What you’ll bring:
- HCPC Registration
- Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
- Post registration experience across a broad range of core physiotherapy areas, e.g. acute medicine, surgical care, ICU/HDU/CCU, cardio-respiratory, neurology, orthopaedics and MSK
- Post registration experience working within oncology/ haematology
- A passion to develop and specialise further within oncology
- Evidence of training/CPD/experiential experience relevant to the area of cancer care
