Band 6 - Speech and Language Therapist

Bank Staff

We are looking for experienced Speech and Language Therapists to join NHS Forth Valley’s Staff Bank to provide staff at short notice and manage unforeseen staff shortages.

The Speech and Language Therapy team in Forth Valley is known nationally for their sector-leading work and has recently undergone a transformational change in order to further improve outcomes of children in young people, particularly those living in poverty.

The Teams work in partnership with families, education and health staff to deliver quality Universal, Targeted and Individualised approaches. The successful candidate will work in partnership to reduce the risk and impact of speech, language and communication difficulties on children’s wellbeing. This will include delivering a whole systems approach to improving outcomes for children.

This role will require the successful candidate to deliver new and innovative whole systems universal, targeted and individualised approaches within Education and in the wider community. The candidate will be highly experienced in delivering individualised support to a broad range of children and young people with communication needs. They will also have significant experience of delivering universal and targeted whole school and nursery approaches and be confident in measuring impact within these settings. The successful candidate will be highly competent in improving the communication environment, affecting behavior change and modeling and coaching parents and education staff with a range of approaches and interventions.
