Staff Nurse – Day Ward (Bank)

Contract: Bank Hours: Flexible (Includes Weekends – Occasionally) Rate: £20 per hour (DOE)

About the Role

As a Staff Nurse in our Day Ward, you’ll bring focus, empathy, and compassion to your work. You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold post-registration experience. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with a consultant-led team led by our Matron
  • Prioritise patient needs by providing personalised, attentive care
  • Work with leading clinical experts to develop skills and knowledge
  • Support innovative practices, equipment, and facilities
  • Partner with other departments to ensure seamless patient continuity

Day Ward Operations

Our recently opened Day Ward provides minor procedures, including:

  • Cataract surgery
  • Endoscopy
  • Minor local anaesthetic procedures
  • Pain clinics
  • Varicose vein surgery

Operating Hours:

  • Daily: 8am – 8pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Occasional Saturdays

You’ll follow flexible shift patterns to meet patient needs.
