We are looking for a confident Bank Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.
You’ll have the opportunity to pick up 12-hour shifts to suit you and your lifestyle, supporting our service users at Dove Valley Mews in Wombwell, Barnsley.
About the Role
Dove Valley Mews is a residential service providing outcome-focused care for adults with a learning disability and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge.
We encourage and enable the people we support to lead a full and happy life. We work with them to ensure they have more choice and control in their lives. We find out their strengths, abilities, and preferences so that the care provided can be as person-centred and meaningful to each individual as possible.

Your day-to-day
- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
- Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
- Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
- Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
- Safeguard
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
- Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
- Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
You are
- Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
- An excellent communicator and a good team player
- Sensitive and intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
- Able to empower & support service user independence

- Salary: £13.00 per hour plus 12.1% annual leave allowance (£14.57ph)
