About the Role
You’ll work in an Extra Care Facility, providing person-centred support to individuals who need assistance with day-to-day living. This role is all about enriching lives, fostering independence, and creating a sense of belonging—you’ll spend every shift with the person you support, building meaningful relationships and making a tangible difference.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour support in a purpose-built, community-focused Extra Care setting
- Offer housing-related assistance, including domestic help and personal care (e.g., medication support, health monitoring)
- Deliver assisted or pre-prepared meals while ensuring dignity and choice
- Plan and facilitate leisure/recreation activities tailored to individual needs and preferences
- Support social engagement—helping maintain relationships with family, friends, and the community
- Adhere to safety regulations and follow best practices for personal and professional conduct
Shift Patterns (mixed rotation):
- Morning shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Part-day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Night shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend coverage: regular rotations
