Bank Care & Support Worker – Dove Valley Mews, Wombwell

We are looking for a confident Bank Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.
You’ll have the opportunity to choose 12-hour shifts to suit your lifestyle, working at Dove Valley Mews in Wombwell, Barnsley.
About the Role
Dove Valley Mews is a residential service providing outcome-focused care for adults with a learning disability and associated complex needs, which may include behaviours that challenge.
Our goal? To encourage and empower the people we support to lead a full, happy, and independent life. This means:
- Giving them more choice and control by uncovering their strengths, abilities, and preferences.
- Tailoring every care experience to be person-centred, meaningful, and empowering.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Offer enhanced care through a flexible, learning-oriented approach for those in our care.
- Provide physical and emotional guidance and support.
- Learn about individuals’ specific needs and assist in the most appropriate way.
- Help with and report on medical and welfare needs.
- Ensure safety and safeguarding for all.
- Keep the environment clean, safe, and supportive.
- Help service users access the community—whether it’s work, college, hobbies, activities, days out, or holidays.
- Support growth and development through engaged activities like cooking and cleaning.

- £13.00/hour plus 12.1% annual leave allowance (effectively £14.57/hour).
