About the Role
You’ll join five supported living services in Basingstoke, where every day offers new opportunities to make a real difference in someone’s life. As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll provide flexible, flexible backup support to care teams, ensuring continuity for the people we support — whether regular staff are on leave, training, or absent.
Your work will include:
- Supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and unique care needs
- Assisting with daily routines (personal care, mobility, and independence activities)
- Creating meaningful outings (community trips, leisure activities, or simply quality time at home)
- Supporting with person-centred care—from crafts and music to home comforts and embarking on shared experiences (e.g., dining out, shopping, or nature visits)
- Working alongside teams to deliver safe, consistent, and tailored support

Responsibilities
Your contributions might include:
- Planning and delivering individualised support rooted in respecting each person’s unique needs, interests, and preferences.
- Collaborating with teams to follow individual care plans and risk assessments to ensure safety.
- Guiding with activities to support mental stimulation, social connection, and recreational enjoyment.
- Monitoring the physical and emotional well-being of those in our care.
- Reporting health/safety concerns and engaging in reflective practice to improve care delivery.
- upholding safeguarding policies to maintain a safe environment.
This role demands a calm, adaptable, and nurturing presence—able to navigate both the predictable moments and unexpected challenges of care with patience and humour.
