Support Worker – Owl View (Supported Living Project)
About the Role
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities, dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with diverse care needs. As a Support Worker for our Owl View project (a supported living initiative for 10 people with mental health care needs, some possibly on the dementia pathway), you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals transition into a new home and settle into their new lives.
The Opportunity
- Support person-centred care, enabling individuals to maintain independence
- Encourage engagement with local communities (e.g., clubs, cinema, gym, outings, shopping)
- Foster new friendships through communal activities at Byland Court (where the apartments are located)
- Vital 24/7 community team with shifts available, including overnight duty
Responsibilities & Duties
You will provide 1:1 support covering:
- Personal care (showering, dressing, mobility assistance)
- Housekeeping (housemaid support, cooking, and meal preparation)
- Daytime activities (errands, shopping, outings, social invites)
- Community-building (forging new relationships and respecting existing ones)
Our vibrant 10-apartment facility includes: ✔ Wheelchair-accessible units (self-contained with indoor/outdoor spaces) ✔ Community atrium & common areas for shared activities ✔ Full support structure from our core team (no lone working)

Requirements & Training
No prior qualification required*
However, we provide:
- Funded DBS/PVG checks (so costs are covered)
- Full training support (SAP, mental health/first aid, safeguarding)
- Personal protective equipment (PPE supplied on-site)
