Bank Support Worker

Job Vacancy: Flexible Bank Support Worker – Heathy House (Halifax)

Location: Halifax

Hourly Rate: £15.07 per hour (inclusive of holiday entitlement uplift)


About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of adults with complex mental health needs? Active Pathways is recruiting flexible Bank Support Workers to join our residential mental health service, Heathy House in Halifax.

About Heathy House

Heathy House is a modern, step-down residential service designed to support men transitioning from specialist wards, acute hospitals towards supported or community living. Our serivce provides:

  • A structured, safe, and supportive environment
  • Personalised care and clear recovery planning to foster recovery, resilience, and independence

As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals on their journey to recovery through person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Helping residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to build positive relationships with residents.
  • Providing emotional and practical support to residents.
  • Promoting engagement in meaningful activities and encouraging social inclusion.
  • Supporting residents in daily living tasks, accessing education, employment, and community access.
  • Promoting independence and self-confidence to help residents regain control over their lives.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Experience in a Mental Health or Rehabilitation setting (preferred but not always mandatory).
  • The ability to build rapport quickly with residents and the wider team.
  • A strong understanding of providing person-centred, high-quality care.
