Bank Well-being and Activities Coordinator
Location: Bispham Gardens, Blackpool, FY2 0FN Salary: £13 per hour Contract Type: Bank
Essential Requirements: Applicants must hold a full UK driving license and be 25 years or older for insurance purposes.
About the Role
This role involves organising, developing, and planning programs of activities and events for residents, ensuring their social, religious, and cultural needs are supported. You will be pivotal in:
- Enabling residents to maintain existing hobbies and develop new interests
- Promoting meaningful engagement in a person-centred way
- Encouraging physical and mental well-being through tailored activities
- Creating a diverse and inclusive environment for residents
Your Responsibilities
As Well-being and Activities Coordinator, your key duties include:
- Creating a stimulating and varied program of resident activities and social events
- Collaborating with each resident to identify social and recreational preferences based on interests, abilities, and personal goals
- Supporting the creation of quarterly newsletters and sharing updates via social media and relative correspondence
- Planning on-site and off-site events (e.g., exercise sessions, pet therapy, live performances)
- Maintaining accuracy records of all activities, gathering feedback, and assessing effectiveness
- Budget management within monthly activity allowances
- Assisting residents in transportation to appointments via company vehicles or public transport

What You’ll Bring to the Role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic candidate with:
- A passionate, outgoing personality—committed to helping residents live fulfilling lives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (British English)
- Previous experience in activities coordination or the care sector is beneficial, but not essential
- A friendly, imaginative, and compassionate approach, with a proactive attitude
- Proficient computer skills
- A valid UK driving license
Note: This is a Bank role offering flexible cover. Hours and days will vary, and an Enhanced DBS check is required.
