Bar and Waiting Apprenticeship

Front of House Team Member (Waiter/Waitress/Bartender) Apprenticeship

As part of our dynamic front of house team, you’ll be the welcoming presence our guests will remember. Whether as a waiter, waitress, or bartender, you’ll master our menus, offer personalised recommendations, and ensure every interaction reflects warm hospitality. With over 13 brands and 1,600 businesses, your career has endless potential.

About the Role

Every moment matters—yours is to make guests want to return again and again. You’ll deliver exceptional service, recommend your favourite dishes (or cocktails), and foster a joyful, conversational atmosphere. No prior experience is required—just enthusiasm, a helpful mindset, and a willingness to learn.

You’ll also progress as part of the Hospitality Team Member Level 2 Apprenticeship, lasting 15 months, giving you:

  • A nationally recognised qualification
  • Hands-on training under experienced teams
  • Supportive mentorship and structured development

Responsibilities

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless, enjoyable experience for our guests, including:

  • Welcoming and bidding farewell to guests, clearly explaining the service cycle, menu, promotions, and special events.
  • Providing personalised recommendations tailored to individual preferences and needs.
  • Building rapport with regulars by remembering their choices and engaging in meaningful conversation.
  • Gauging dining satisfaction, discussing feedback through guest surveys, and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Delivering fast, efficient service, including handling queries and complaints with tact and resolve.
  • Collaborating with the entire team, offering support and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Participating in team meetings and sharing insights to refine operations.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and professional standards across all front of house areas—indoor, outdoor, and restrooms.
  • Embracing all in-house training, e-learning modules, and assigned education to ensure compliance with brand standards, licensing laws, and company policies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
