Bar and Waiting Apprenticeship
Front of House Team — Waiter/Waitress or Bartender Apprentice
As part of our front-of-house team, you’ll be the warm, memorable face our guests recognise and love returning to. As a waiter or waitress or bartender, you’ll master our menu, confidently recommend dishes, and use your energy and personality to create exceptional guest experiences. With over 13 brands and 1,600 businesses, your opportunities to learn, develop, and grow are endless.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and farewell guests warmly, clearly explaining the service cycle, products, and any special offers or events
- Offer personalised recommendations tailored to each guest’s needs and preferences
- Remember and engage with regular guests, remembering preferences and fostering meaningful conversations
- Monitor guest enjoyment and facilitate guest experience surveys
- Ensure a fast, efficient service and handle all guest queries or complaints in a prompt and professional manner
- Maintain open communication across the entire team to deliver outstanding service and foster a supportive atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged
- Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights and contributing ideas
- Keep front-of-house, outdoor, and toilet areas clean and tidy
- Complete all in-house training, e-learning courses, and designated learning modules
- Strictly adhere to brand standards, licensing laws, and all company policies and procedures

Apprenticeship Opportunity
You’ll work towards a Hospitality Team Member Level 2 Apprenticeship over 15 months while learning on the job.
What You’ll Gain

- Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don’t already have GCSE equivalents)
- Progress reviews every 12 weeks with your manager, coach, and co-apprentices, including helpful feedback sessions

Wage Details
- Aged 16–20: £10.85 per hour
- Aged 21 and above: £12.71 per hour
