Position: Bar Head Waitress

The Role

At ...At Sloane, you’ll excel as a Bar Head Waitress, shaping the bar experience with refined service, personality, and precision. Your key focus will be:

  • Leading the bar floor and elevating guest engagement
  • Supporting cocktail, spirits, and champagne sales with expertise
  • Guiding junior team members through example and product knowledge

Core Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Be a confident, visible presence while leading floor operations and mentoring juniors
  • Deliver personalised, intuitive service reflecting our relaxed elegance
  • Model high standards in professionalism, speed, and engagement
  • Uphold SOPs for consistent excellence across shifts
  • Resolve guest feedback swiftly, discreetly, and empathetically -Build rapport with regulars and VIPs, maintaining discreet luxury standards
  • Drive upselling and revenue growth through thoughtful service and drink recommendations

Leadership & Team Development

  • Foster a culture of excellence, guiding juniors in techniques and upselling
  • Collaborate with Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager, and Supervisors on service improvement
  • Lay the foundation for success—being approachable, knowledgeable, and naturally confident

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year’s experience in a luxury bar or hospitality role
  • Adapts seamlessly to busy and quiet services, maintaining focus
  • Expertise in cocktails, spirits, champagne, and wines, with a special focus on French wines
  • Exceptional customer service skills—personable, polished, guest-driven
  • The ability to articulate drinks clearly and engagingly
  • Confident upselling ability, adjusting tone to different guests
  • Awareness of current trends (cocktails, spirits, fashion, art, culture)
  • French language (preferred, but not essential)
  • Proactive, driven, and detail-oriented with high avoidance for pressure
  • Strong leadership—able to inspire and support the team
