Role
Responsibilities
Bar Lead Supervisor /Steward Grade 2
Under instruction and following appropriate training:
- Serving drinks.
- Basic cleaning tasks
- Ensuring that the bar runs in an efficient manner
- Leading the shift, ensuring that the bar is operating within the licensing conditions and all bar policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that all daily and weekly tasks are completed
- Securing the premises at the end of shift.
- Delegation of tasks
- In charge of cellar including stock rotation and line cleaning
- Maintaining order in the bar on shift
- Stock management including ordering via EPSYS and liaising with supplier’s reps
- Working with finance, HR and FBSH to ensure takings are correct and staff are hired, onboarded, and paid correctly
- Hiring of junior staff members (supported by FBSH)
- Staff rotas/covering shifts
- Staff discipline
- Undertaking meetings regarding events and bar activities, and regular meetings with FBSH
- Maintaining high level of cleanliness standards in the bar
- Working with RSAs, security (where applicable) and college management to maintain order and report any incidents that occur in the bar
