Role Description
The Bar Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Doncaster Town Moor Golf Club in Doncaster. This role oversees the daily operation of the bar, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. The Bar Manager leads and schedules bar staff, provides on-the-job training, and ensures excellent customer service for members, guests, and event attendees. Responsibilities include managing food and beverage service, coordinating with kitchen and events teams, supporting sales of drinks and club offerings, and ensuring compliance with licensing, health, and safety standards. The Bar Manager is expected to be hands-on during busy periods, contribute to bar promotions, and maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with members, guests, and colleagues.
- Experience in Food & Beverage operations, including bar service, stock control, and basic cash and till management.
- Ability to provide Training and guidance to bar staff, including onboarding, coaching, and performance support.
- Sales awareness, with skills in promoting bar offerings, upselling products, and supporting event-related revenue.
- Previous experience in bar management or supervisory hospitality roles, ideally within a club, pub, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of licensing laws, health and safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
- Basic IT skills for using point-of-sale systems and completing routine administrative tasks.
