Bar Person – Rick Stein Restaurants

At Rick Stein Restaurants, we’re all about fresh seafood, simple cooking done brilliantly, and making every guest feel genuinely welcome. We’re now looking for a friendly and confident Bar Person to join our front-of-house team.
If you love great drinks, enjoy chatting with guests, and take pride in delivering warm, professional service, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving drinks to a high standard, including wines, cocktails, beers, and soft drinks
- Creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere at the bar for every guest
- Sharing knowledge of our drinks menu, wines, and daily specials
- Taking orders and processing payments accurately and efficiently
- Working closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service
- Keeping the bar clean, organised, and well stocked
- Following all licensing, health & safety, and food hygiene standards

What We’re Looking For
- A friendly, positive attitude and genuine love of hospitality
- Previous bar experience or a strong desire to learn
- Confidence speaking with guests and making recommendations
- Good attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Ability to work calmly in a busy environment
- A reliable, team-focused approach

St Petroc’s Bistro was the second of Rick Stein and Jill Stein’s restaurants opened in 1988. Our Bistro has grown over the years specialising in bistro food from Britain, France, Spain and Italy. In 2016 Ruby’s Bar was opened next door to St Petroc’s Bistro, our front of house team enjoy looking after guests at both St Petroc’s Bistro and Ruby’s Bar.
