Bar Staff

About Us

The Scotsman Group is a leading name in Scotland’s hospitality scene, known for our vibrant bars, excellent drinks, and unforgettable service. We are looking for enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our bar staff team to help us create a lively and festive atmosphere for our guests.

The Role

As Bar Staff, you’ll be responsible for serving drinks, engaging with customers, and ensuring our bars run smoothly. You’ll be at the heart of the action, mixing up seasonal cocktails, pouring pints, and delivering the outstanding service that the Scotsman Group is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcome and valued. Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with licensing laws and company standards. Mix and serve a range of cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks. Engage with guests, answer questions, and provide recommendations on drinks. Manage the bar area, ensuring it remains clean, well-stocked, and organised. Handle cash and card payments accurately. Assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar before and after shifts. Work efficiently during busy periods, especially on key dates.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
