Role Summary
As a Bar Supervisor, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our vibrant bar, ensuring smooth service and creating an exceptional guest experience. Your responsibilities will include supervising the bar team, maintaining stock and inventory, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. You will foster a welcoming atmosphere, uphold high service standards, and support the bar’s financial performance.
The environment is lively, fast-paced, and dynamic, requiring strong multitasking and problem-solving skills. You'll thrive in an energetic social setting, often with bustling crowds and vibrant music. Collaboration with other team members is essential to ensure seamless service and a positive work culture. Flexibility is key, as the role involves late hours, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Lead, manage, and schedule bar team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Daily Operations: Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to high standards in the Bar Manager’s absence.
- Customer Service: Handle guest interactions, address complaints, and ensure all customers enjoy prompt, friendly, and high-quality service.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and maintain proper inventory to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of drinks, maintaining high standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold all hygiene, health, safety, and alcohol regulations to provide a safe and clean environment.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Marketing & Sales Team to organize bar promotions, events, and activities to enhance customer engagement.
- Financial Oversight: Assist in tracking sales, managing cash flow, and preparing daily financial reports.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure bar equipment is in working order and address repairs promptly.
- Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training for team members to enhance skills and uphold service standards.
- Leadership: Motivate team members, foster a positive work environment, and lead by example in providing exceptional service.

Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests and resolve issues effectively.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for seamless team coordination and guest interactions.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Efficient organizational skills to manage supplies and prevent overstock or shortages.
- Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making ability to address customer and team challenges under pressure.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, cash handling, and daily sales tracking.
- Knowledge of Beverages: Expertise in cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, with the ability to train staff on drink preparation.
- Time Management: Capability to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Health & Safety Awareness: Familiarity with hygiene standards and alcohol regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 20 kg).
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance throughout shifts.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat and confined spaces.
Legal Requirements
- Eligibility to work in Germany with all necessary documentation.
- Compliance with local, regional, and national employment certifications or governing body requirements.
- An up-to-date and active bank account in your own name.
