Job Description

We're looking for new people to join our welcoming and experienced team here at the Governor's House ready for a busy summer. Our large pub has a restaurant, 10 hotel rooms, and a 200 cover garden, in leafy Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester.

We are looking for staff to work floor and bar duties, on a part-time basis.

Experience is preferred but not essential as training is provided, but:

  • you must be over 18 to be able to serve behind the bar,
  • availability to work evenings and weekends, up to closing time, is essential (0.00 Sun-Thurs, 01.00 Fri & Sat)
  • you must be able to get to/from work, including at evenings and weekends. (public transport is limited)

Qualifications

You must be reliable, punctual, and diligent, ready to get stuck in and be a team player.

As a member of our Bar & Waiting Staff, you will…

  • Provide exceptional and memorable customer service, so our customers always leave with a smile on their face;
  • Be knowledgeable behind the bar, offering recommendations to customers, and helping support stock management through your behaviours;
  • Prepare and present drinks that meet specifications and customer expectations.
  • Assist in greeting, serving food and looking after our customers whilst they dine with us;
  • Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.
