Barista / General Assistant
Hours: 40 hours/week – Monday to Friday
Location: 9 Derry Street, Kensington, London, W8 5HY
Salary: Up to £29,672 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity for a Barista to join our team where you'll deliver outstanding coffee and friendly service every day. You’ll engage warmly with customers and colleagues, take pride in product knowledge, and help maintain excellent standards of service, cleanliness, and teamwork.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality hot beverages, creating coffee to the highest standard
- Adjust grinders and espresso machine to maintain quality at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of coffee machines, counters, and service areas
- Restock supplies and assist with stock takes as required
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages customers to return
- Support other local units when needed
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment
- Set up counters and displays to be visually appealing and customer-focused
- Ensuring QHSE standards are met and upheld by your team
- Assist with administrative duties as required
- Handle cash responsibly, including daily cash-up and weekly banking
Person Specification
- A good understanding of coffee extraction and milk steaming techniques
- A genuine passion for coffee and a desire to continue learning
- Previous barista experience in a café or similar environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A friendly approachable attitude with both customers and colleagues

- Report any issues with equipment, systems of work, or safety concerns promptly

- Raise any training needs or concerns with your Line Manager or via the company incident reporting system
