Barista
Full Time Barista – Defence On-Site (37.5 hrs/week)
About the Role
We’re seeking a driven Barista to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for Defence, working full-time (37.5 hours per week) with opportunities to progress within a company that invests in its people, values individuality, and rewards excellence.
Shift Pattern:
- Mon: Full-time (Days)
- Tue: Full-time (Days)
- Wed: Full-time (Days)
- Thu: Full-time (Days)
- Fri: Full-time (Days)
- Sat/Sun: To be arranged
Key Responsibilities
As our Barista, you’ll:
- Prepare perfectly blended drinks and serve high-quality food
- Maintain a clean bar area and ensure stock of mugs and plates
- Process payments (cash/cards) and receive customer payments
- Demonstrate great communication skills and teamwork
- Learn brewing methods, beverage blends, and food preparation
- Check equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
- Represent Defence and uphold its positive brand image
- Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations

Ideal Barista Qualities
We look for:
- Brilliant communicators who enjoy building relationships
- Customer service experience (a plus)
- A strive for excellence in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative and make customer-centric decisions
- Hands-on coffee knowledge (preferably brewing experience)
- Reliability, punctuality, and resilience under pressure
- The ability to work collaboratively with a friendly team mindset
