About the role
As a Barista at Origin, you will deliver an exceptional coffee experience while upholding our quality standards and creating meaningful customer interactions. You play a key role in ensuring every cup reflects our commitment to provenance, seasonality, and transparency in a high-volume, public-facing environment. Origin are looking to add two full-time members to their Retail team in Cornwall across The Roastery and Harbour Head locations.
As a key member of the retail team, you will:
- Deliver outstanding coffee and service, ensuring every customer leaves with a memorable experience
- Maintain consistency in coffee quality by adhering to Origin’s standards and recipes
- Engage with customers to share knowledge, inspire appreciation for specialty coffee, and build brand loyalty
- Support the retail team in achieving operational excellence and driving performance

About you
- Previous experience as a Barista (ideally 1–2 years) in a busy hospitality or coffee environment
- Confident working independently, including opening and closing shifts
- Enjoy sharing the story behind our coffee - from the producers and origins to the cup in hand
- A genuine passion for speciality coffee and interest in the wider coffee industry
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming workspace
This is an opportunity for a passionate coffee enthusiast to step into the specialty coffee world and develop foundational skills into professional expertise. Previous barista or hospitality experience is valued, but what matters most is curiosity, care, and a genuine interest in specialty coffee.
