Barista – Part-Time Opportunity (8 Hours/Week)

We’re recruiting a driven Barista to help create beautifully crafted drinks on a part-time basis (8 hours per week) for a major High Street brand. As part of the team, you’ll deliver first-class service, craft perfect coffees, and help shape a culture that fosters individuality, development, and recognition.

We seek someone who thrives under pressure, takes initiative, and enjoys supporting customers with enthusiasm in our bustling environment.

About the Role

As a Barista at Costa, you’ll play a critical role in:

  • Crafting premium coffee drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
  • Maintaining a clean and organised bar area
  • Processing payments (cash and card)
  • Collaborating as a cohesive team while ensuring exceptional communication

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing flawlessly crafted drinks while adhering to standard recipes
  • Offering outstanding customer service, adapting to individual preferences
  • Maintaining a clean and organised bar area, including ensuring stock of mugs and plates
  • Operating cash handling and card transactions efficiently and securely
  • Collaborating as a team player with a culture of support and positivity
  • Familiarising yourself with brewing methods, blends and latte art techniques for consistency
  • Performing brewing equipment checks and reporting any maintenance needs
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, Health & Safety and reputational standards

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a Barista who:

  • Excels in communication and can build strong, friendly relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Has customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume or hospitality setting
  • Demonstrates quality focus and a passion for coffee culture
  • Is self-motivated and proactive, making decisions that enhance customer experience
  • Has hands-on brewing or coffee preparation experience and knowledge of equipment
  • Can work under pressure during peak business periods
  • Shows reliability and exceptional timekeeping to maintain smooth operations
