Barista - Costa
Driven Barista | Part-Time Role (30 Hours Per Week)
We're currently looking for a passionate Barista to join our high-street brand, crafting beautifully designed drinks while delivering exceptional service. You’ll thrive in an environment that values individuality, progression, and recognition—operating 30 hours per week with variable shift patterns.
About the Role
As a Barista, you’ll use your creative and practical skills to deliver premium coffees and food, ensuring our customers leave delighted. The role is ideal for someone eager to develop their career with a company dedicated to investing in its people.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food to meet customer expectations
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
- Handling payments (cash and card) with accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborating as a team player and communicating effectively with colleagues and customers
- Shielding inventory levels of mugs, plates, and drinking supplies
- Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food prep, and presentation techniques
- Ensuring brewing equipment functions properly and reporting any maintenance needs
- Representing Costa and upholding a positive brand image
- Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations

- A brilliant communicator—capable of building strong relationships with customers
- Previous customer service experience
- A drive for excellence, consisting in an energetic and results-driven manner
- Ability to take initiative and make proactive decisions that benefit customers
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Comfortable working under pressure with exceptional timekeeping and reliability
